bewaniuk2005 Posted May 12, 2009 Author Posted May 12, 2009 Hi, Yes we had issues and this site helped me fix them. I have AVG 8.5 running. but i know theres more installed but nit running. BOB Quote
maynardvdm Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 There have been people with the same problem and AVG was to blame. For a test, disable AVG and see if you can open the files, if that dont work you might have to uninstall it. If it is still the same problem then you know its not AVG. Is AVG the free version or the paid for one? Quote We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else. Guest Wolfeymole Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Ok download Open Office from here; OpenOffice.org - The Free and Open Productivity Suite This will enable you to open MS Office documents and other files. Quote
Tony D Posted May 12, 2009 Posted May 12, 2009 Can you create a document, save it to disk and then open it? Are you trying to open files by double clicking on them? If so, try opening them from within Word using the File / Open commands. See if that works. Quote Need help with your computer problems? Then why not join Free PC Help. bewaniuk2005 Posted May 12, 2009 Author Posted May 12, 2009 Hi, I also tried to make a document and tried open from the program itself and still the same error. BOB Quote
RandyL Posted May 13, 2009 Posted May 13, 2009 You said you "tried to make a document". Does this mean you can't create a document or that you can't open the document you made? Either way it sounds like it's time to reinstall microsoft office 2007 professional if you can't make or open a document you made with it. I'm assuming you have the disks and that this isn't a trial version. Quote We are all members helping other members. Please return here where you may be able to help someone else.
