Guest user 76 Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 Hi all, I'm getting a really odd roaming profile issue that only affects one user when they use one particular pc. When they log off, the roaming profile doesn't get updated on the server. However, if they log onto another machine, the roaming profile gets copied down and back OK and if I log on to the problem machine with a test account, the roaming profile gets copied down and back OK. The users permissions are no different to all of the other users who do not have any problems. Machines are a mix of 2K/XP, server is 2003 R2. User is only using 2K workstations. Any thoughts? Bill

Note for future reference that this would probably be a better question to post in a group for your workstation OS.

You might consider setting the GPO to delete the profile after logoff. -- Regards, Hank Arnold Microsoft MVP Windows Server - Directory Services
Guest user 76 Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 Re: Wierd roaming profile problem Many thanks for the replies. UPHClean is installed on all machines, nothing in the logs of any note. Deleting the out dated profile off the server seems to have fixed so I'm guessing that it was corrupted somehow. I would have liked to have seen some kind of copy errors in the event log if this was the case though! Guest Hank Arnold (MVP) Posted December 22, 2007 Posted December 22, 2007 Re: Wierd roaming profile problem Profiles, especially roaming profiles are very subject to corruption. You need to be prepared to deal with it. -- Regards, Hank Arnold Microsoft MVP Windows Server - Directory Services user 76 wrote: > Many thanks for the replies. > > UPHClean is installed on all machines, nothing in the logs of any note. > > Deleting the out dated profile off the server seems to have fixed so I'm > guessing that it was corrupted somehow.
