Hi

Welcome to Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help.

First thing to do is to check all the connections and cables, make sure they are all properly connected.

Also make sure the expansion cards are securely in place.

Do you get any beeps when you start the pc?

Ok

The next thing to check is the power supply. If you can get a working one and test to see if it does the same or not.

hi have a problem there only have a psu that has 20 wires in it my one has 24 does that matter dont want to try it and get it wrong

that power supply will still fit, just make sure you line it up correctly when connecting it.

if my memory servers me correctly you will need to plug the connecter into the left hand side, thus leaving four pins on the right.....

have you tried reseating your memory, and also clearing your cmos, (remove the lithium battery on the board for ten minutes),

regards

danzil

ps post back if that does/not work.

Hi

If you have a motherboard speaker and you are getting no beeps, there is a good chance that it my be damaged or has a bad stick of ram in it. At this point I would be trying to determine which component may have done the damage. When the computer starts up for a split second or so and cuts off its usually a sign of a shorted component. Try removing the hardware, video card, sound card, swap memory sticks, etc; and see if it will run without shutting down (don't expect a bios post). If you start replacing hardware without identifying the bad part the cycle may repeat itself.
