Guest Gopher Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 Windows 2003 Server w/ Service Pack 2 applied. It is currently up-to-date with all post-sp2 patches. Another vendor had installed a program called Scan Router Lite some time ago. It is a free program supplied with Ricoh Copiers that allows "push" scaning from the copier to a network drive. The program failed for whatever reason. The vendor performed a "repair" from add/remove programs. The program that he used was the old version that came with the copier (3 years ?). The "repair" required a re-boot. Upon re-boot, the error referenced above appears. The server starts and functions as a file server. Unfortunately, all of the symptoms detailed in Bulletin 933994 appear (almost as if it was written specifically for me). It appears as though newer files were overwritten by files from the 3+ year old disk supplied by a copier manufacturer. Question. When I try to find the latest COM+ rollup package, I am directed to Service Pack 2. Can I just install Service Pack 2 instead and then follow the rest of the instructions? Is there anything I need to be careful with here? FYI, I gutted the copier software off the server and suggested that the other vendor supply his own hardware in the future.
