Guest George Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 Hi, Trying to figure out how to manually force an Windows 2000 NTFS volume to dismount or go offline. Similar to what the chkdsk /x function does but just the dismount part. Cant seem to figure it out. Thanks in advance, George

The disk subsystem is not extremely different between 2000 and 2003. MS even says you can copy fsutil.exe from XP: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/176970.
