Guest TimBo Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 Hi, I have the HP MediaSmart versionof WHS, and so far, so good, I have been please with what it delivers. It meets my needs for a simple home server solution. The backup causes a slight problem, however. If I hibernate my Laptop (XP Home Edition SP2) the WHS backup wakes it up, performs the backup, and SHOULD then hibernate the Laptop - but it doesn't, so I keep finding the Laptop running when it shouldn't be. Anyone else found had this problem, and know of a fix? Also, is there a way to change the Workgroup name? All tips and pointers gratefully received, Thanks Tim
Guest ST3V3 Posted December 24, 2007 Posted December 24, 2007 Re: Home Server Backup - XP Laptop Hibernate TimBo, You can Remote Desktop connect into the HP WHS and change the server name and workgroup. Somewhere I read make changes liek this could cause some problems, but I can't imagine why. I have chagned mine and everything seems to work fine.
