zinglebarb Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 if its a cable modem you need to reboot the modem before it will allocate an ip to the router. Im with aol and when i sent up my new router i had to phone aol to get the to activate it for some unknown reason to me anyway and then restarted it and it worked like a dream. Another thing if you can't connect to the internet how are you typing this on this forum? Quote

Did you install the software that came with the router? Could you please provide the operating system the computers are each running? Are you using a Proxy? This will help us help you much better.
