I have just installed a carputer

Specifications:

Motherboard

Jetway J7F2WE1G5D-OC-PB

CPU

25 Watt VIA C7

Hard Drive

200GB 2.5" Toshiba SATA

RAM

512MB Kingston DDR2 PC4200/533MHz

DVD Drive

Slim External Self Powering USB 2.0 Panasonic 8124b DVD ROM/CD R/RW

Power Supply

80 Watt DC-DC

Power controller

Automatic Startup/Shutdown Power Controller with Shutdown Delay

The problem I have is that I have installed windows XP and the sound is like alvin and the chipmonks, ie very fast. I installed the correct drivers off the motherboard CD. I have updated the drivers uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers on suggestion of other forums, but this has not worked.

Any ideas?

when you set up this pc,did you add front audio to the pc (audio jacks on the case that connect to the onboard audio header in the mother board)..

if so it may be wise to check to make sure all the connection are in the right place....if not this can cause all sorts of audio issues....

have you installed ny codecs and/or audio software lately.that may have caused this.....

i didnt see this poost so sorry fo the late reply.

kind regards

no all sound is fast, and when I play a DVD it is also fast, the engineer was round again last night and he uninstlled all the drivers and reinstalled all the new up to date drivers and this did not work, he is totally stumped and has suggested to get a usb external sound card and switch off my sound chip in the bios.
