Its bad news I'm afraid :(

 

Have a read of this info taken from the manual

 

If you wish to upgrade to a new BIOS, either Gigabyte's Q-Flash or @BIOS utility can be used.

 

Q-Flash allows the user to quickly and easily update or backup BIOS without entering the operating system.

 

@BIOS is a Windows-based utility that does not require users to boot to DOS before upgrading BIOS but directly download and update BIOS from the Internet.

Q-Flash requires that you enter the BIOS.

 

There is no other way to do it. There is mention in the manual to either press Del or 'Ctrl + F1' on boot to enter the BIOS. I can't see why there are two ways in, but the Ctrl + F1 is worth a try.

 

If that doesn't work I think it's goosed.

The BIOS chip on your board should be removable. If so there are any number of suppliers online where you can purchase a new BIOS chip with whichever BIOS version you want, rendering your board useful again.

removing it requires a lot of skill some just use a special tool others need sweating out. Finding a SKT 939 is going to be a problem also

Thank you guys for all help will look at costing and trickyness of the BIOS replacement.

Can't thank you all enough and will stick around for more interesting tips.
