Guest getfuzed@gmail.com Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 We have Windows Server 2003 R2 and multiple workstations all running XP Pro SP2. After logging into the domain and then trying to log out, the computer hangs on "Saving your settings". So far this is only occurring on one computer. If I use a different computer, the system logs off just fine. Another website recommended Microsoft UPHclean, but that didn't help. Suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

Look for Administration Tools. Event Viewer is there. I would suspect the profile. Is it everyone or just you? Are you using local or roaming profiles? You can right click on "My Computer" and open the properties and go to the Advanced tab. You should see an option in the middle that will display all the profiles. You can delete them here. A workaround is to install the UPHCLEAN utility from MS.... This should get the profiles closed, but doesn't address the basic problem. If it happens often, you really need to resolve it. -- Regards, Hank Arnold Microsoft MVP Windows Server - Directory Services

Whether that's a good solution or not I don't know, but I can log off now.
