Unable to create/format a partition

Hey guys, I am having a weird problem with my new partition. I tried to

partition my hard disk using Norton Partition magic. The process stopped

all on a sudden with some error messages. Now after a reboot, I see a

new unallocated space in my drive. I can't access it with anything, not

even with the Partition Magic. I can't format or create a new partion

off of it. I went to the XP disk management, when I right click it to

create a new partition, the "New Partition" menu is grayed out. Can

anyone please help me resolve this issue ?:(
