After installing SP2 on Windows 2003 server (stanadrd) domain contoller, I

could login but, the server never finished loading. Could bring up task

manager and nothing was running, could not switch to internet explorer,

nothing. I waiting for the server to load for over 20 minutes. Finally, had

to power down.

The server came backup, loaded and it showed SP2 in the system info in

control panel. Tried to load the rest of the Windows critical updates and

they all fail.

Any suggestions? Can I try to re-load service pack 2?

Have a look at the Event Viewer!

I suspect that you have to return your server to its pre-SP2

stage, then try again.
