DSTM Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 I have seen some of your work,Wellies. You are very good at what you do. When I see excellent images like these,2 questions always come to mind. What program and how is it achieved.:) I have watched soooo many hours of tutorials, however most tutorials are geared for the advanced, not the beginner. Quote Confidence, is the feeling I get, moments before I stuff something up.
PseFrank Posted August 28, 2010 Posted August 28, 2010 Wow wellies, these look great! I'd bet that some of the forum users would love to learn more about graphics and how to produce them... wellies Posted August 29, 2010 Author Posted August 29, 2010 (edited) Those are done in Xara Xtreme. Primarily a vector drawing program but it has quite a good capability in photo editing too. It's possible to import photos into it and shape them and apply effects to them. The first image is done by using the 3D tool to the photos and moving them around until they look right. The most challenging part was the making the reflection. The second image is 4 of the same photos placed on top of each other and then varying degrees of page curl added to each one. The result is then set against a background and given a degree of shadow to enhance the 3D effect. Edit: Sorry, I miscounted. It was 5 photos. DSTM Posted September 3, 2010 Posted September 3, 2010 I would like to know about these tablets as well please Dstm where did you buy it ans how much Ta Hi Bob.I bought a Capax Vista Pad. I haven't had it long enough to comment as yet. Was advised never to buy a cheap one. Waycom supposed to be the best, however my computer shop was out of stock. Supposed to be superior for detailed work like in Photoshop, where it's a pain to keep the mouse steady. I paid $169 AUD and converting to English pounds is around 100 pounds. http://i51.tinypic.com/oat1md.jpg Quote Confidence, is the feeling I get, moments before I stuff something up.
