downloading updates in safe mode???

is it poss to download updates in safe mode?? i mean needed updates as im not sure

Well you could pull them down via Safe Mode with Networking but can I ask why you would want to please?

hi wolfey its because my internet security has banned the windows update site so i cannot get the updates i need, i have tried to allow it but i upgraded the zonealarm and now i have no idea how to use it, i have looked, but drawn a blank, so i really dont kow what to do, do you have any suggestions? would be grateful thanks

Do a restore point to before you upgraded Zone Alarm.

yes i tried that but didnt work i have tried everything the only now i can think of is to uninstall zonealarm and get something else, or download in safe mode but im not sure if its a safe thing to do or not or even its possible thanks for you sugesstions appreciate them

I'd uninstall it and then download Updates from Microsoft, you won't get anything bad from them but sometimes the download may be flawed which means redoing it.
