my spare computer wont boot, first page says windows 32 configuration is either missing or corrupt, running vista home premium. dont have disc.

If not can you ring her and find out what it is at all?

Did she ever make any recovery disks that you know of?

sorry for delay someone came in my daughter is working to night i do have box i know she has no recovery discs.

Ok does the box have a COA (Certificate of Authentication) sticker on it anywhere.

perhaps download the above and run the start up reapair. I do not use this as I have Vista media so I do not know if it requires and commands or if its graphical. You burn the image to cd and then boot from the cd. If you do not know how to set up boot from disc post back

xp boot problem

 

trying to boot my daughters pc just gets to press any key to boot from disk and then just goes back to error page windows 32 file missing or corrupt.

Densil are you using a recovery disk or a full install disk?

 

What is the full error code?

its ok now as my daughter has taken pc away now to take to a shop
