Vista hard drive full

Hi

My C:drive is almost full can I free space by moving items to my empty E:drive

How do I do this

Download and run ccleaner (just google it) and clean your temp files(do not run the reg cleaner part of this). If you have loads of movies and or music in your docs then thats ok to move only your wmp library will no longer be correct if that is what you use then I advise download wimamp instead :) I would clean your system restore points also but that is a view not shared by some here so I will not advise as to how.

 

To move data simply right click select copy and paste into new directories on E. Then delete the original. I say copy over cut for data security as you could lose something if the system crashed etc. Do not move programs as some will not work after you move them

Just make sure the E: drive does not contain system recovery files aka Factory Image.
