Well, I am quite certain that alot of people have posted about problems with getting Vista and XP to connect.* I've done a bit of searching, and so far the same thing is the same.* However, it doesn't seem to work for me at all, and also to note, it's usually Vista can see and access XP, but XP cannot see and access Vista, am I right?

Well, for me, it's quite the reverse.* You see, XP can see and access Vista just fine, but however, as much as I tried (I even enabled netBIOS in the WINS tab) nothing seems to work in the reverse.

Hopefully this linked PDF diagram will make (at least somewhat) clear what my problem is.

[[XP and Vista can ping the router, and XP can ping Vista, but Vista cannot ping XP]]

So far I've tried:

  • Enabling netbios on XP AND Vista
  • running the Network Setup Wizard on XP (several times I might add)
  • disabling Password Protection for my network

I haven't touched anything on my Belkin wireless router.

And might I add, this has been happening from day 1 (for my laptop, never had anything on the network other than just the single XP desktop.)
