no sound from speakers

well i know this will be a bit of a pooh pic but here is the audio header

The connection of the wires must be made the following way: Mic In to pin 1; Gnd to pin 2 and 3; R Out to pin 5; Ret R to pin 6; L Out to pin 9, and Ret L to pin 10.

 

try that...and let me know..

please make sure you unplug the pc and leave it to discharge before placing your hands in side.

ok the other bunch of cables are your usb cables for the front usb connections..

there should be black + red + green + white

 

 

you should see a header like this

.. 1st pin is pin 1

..

..

..

. this is pin 10..there is no pin 9

seperate them into there seperate wires....ie 1red 1 black 1 green 1black...but make sure you dont mix them...they all should run through on sheath each...ok first cable group (remeber one sheath)

right anyway pin 1 is red then 3 is white 5 is green and 7 is black...

2 is red 4 is white 6 is green and 8 is black

pin 9 isnt there and ten is another ground usually unused.

try that

danzil thank you for your help. i still have one probelm tho.

the front paneks usbs are now working, the front and rear output for speakers are working. the mic is not, i do have one mic wire left over tho and that is mic power. does this got o pin 4 or pin 7. i tried both but still dont seem to work.

thanks for all the help so far, if we can get the mic owrking i will be extremely grratefull.

try removing ground on pin 3 and then using mic bias /mic power in that one...if not try this wiring diagram mate
