Hello All:

In order for our clients to run terminal server client from their desktops,

it apppears that they need local admin priveledges on their machine. Is

there a workaround to registry hack to allow them to run it without Admin

Priv?

Thanks

Re: Question

What is the exact error?

What is the Windows version of Terminal Services server are you running?

What is the client operating system and Terminal Server client (remote

desktop client) version?

Re: Question

That's not necesary, at least not in a default installation.

What OS and SP are your clients running? Which version of the rdp

client? Which error message do they get when they try to connect as

normal users? When exactly in the logon procedure does the error

message appear?

Have you locked down the clients in any way, like with Software

Restriction Group Policies?

We need more information. All our workstations are running XP and do a

domain logon. They are all "Domain Users" in the domain and restricted

in their ability to do most things. I routinely use the RDP client to

fix something on a server while at their workstation...
