I'm not trying to be argumentative, but seriously, what did I do wrong in the last thread? As far as I can see I broke no rules, I simply wanted the answer clarified as I didn't fully understand how that would cause my problem.

Hi Chilly.

Sky uses a diffrent sort of P2P.Sky uses what we call "streaming" not P2P.

It is not technicaly P2P.

As for uTorrents and similar software it is out of bounds on most forums due to legal legalities. We have to protect ourselves or the forum could be shut down along with many others.

Please read the rules.;)

If you want me to find you some information on streaming so it can be explained fully to you then I can sure post you some links.

But please refrain from making multiple threads on very similar topics.

If you need help with any other issues besides what has been discussed so far we will be pleased to help.

I was only creating more threads because I wasn't finished talking/asking for help and my threads kept getting closed before I could respond, but thanks for the help regardless.

I completely understand why you need to avoid mentioning of those programs and I wasn't really asking for help with that one, I merely mentioned it in case it might help to identify the problem.

Also, I take it you did read the other thread that I posted (which is now gone)? I'd like to further discuss that one if you don't mind, I just want to check you read it before I PM you to save me typing it up again.

Much apprecciated Chilly.

Ok your bandwith fair usage policy includes any bandwith usage that includes such items as XBOX,play station, youtube and so on.

It is anything connected to your pc or wireless router that needs to connect to the internet.

It all comes under fair usage I am afraid to say.

I know it is very unfair for ISP to do this but hey we cannot stop them.

I read Tiscali's fair usage policy a while ago, but it didn't mention any specific limits. Is there any way to monitor it to see when you're coming close to getting capped or is it just blind flying?

Yeah I've already used that to check my speeds. I checked at times when I couldn't connect to the game and download from Sky Player and also at times when I could, and the speed is no different.

I actually checked earlier today while playing the game and it was at around 3.1mbps and then tested again when I couldn't connect anymore and it was the same. Right now, however, it's at 1.5mbps :(

Listen up Chilly ok.

Your caning the bandwidth as has been mentioned with streaming, WOW and possibly seeding and leeching on P2P.

We do not enter into discussion on P2P unless the original poster requests help in removing it.

Rule 3:

No advice or help will be offered with regard to P2P (Peer to Peer, torrents etc) programs or software obtained via that medium unless a member specifically states that they require help on removing such software.

You have not indicated a desire to do so whatsoever but have consistently grumbled about why you are being capped, slow speed etc.

This thread is now closed and should any further discussion take place then your membership at FPCH will be terminated.
