lost my ip address any one know how to put it back on

• Go to Control Panel and open Network Connections
  
• Right-Click on Local Area Connection and select Properties
  
• Click on Internet Protocol(TCP/IP) and click on Properties
  
• Make sure Obtain an IP address automatically is selected

start>run>cmd

when the black dos like box pops up type in there. ipconfig /release then after that type in ipconfig /renew.

if you have no ip anyway and it is still trying to find an ip just skip to ipconfig /renew.

 

what caused you too lose your IP address in the first place......has your router been reconfigured of late or any settings change,,,if so there could be dhcp issue on your router but unlikely dhcp is turned on by default on most routers.
