mat777 Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 some internet providers such as bt now offer up to 2gb free online storage with the option to purchase more. also, some antivirus software such as norton 360 also offer online storage and backup. these will obviously be secure as you would need an account with the provider to access them Quote Phantom Phixer Old Phantoms never die, they just get spookier....
Guest Wolfeymole Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 This is an extract from the Extreme Tech Support - Free PC Help account at PhotoBucket. Account storage used. 17 MB (1%) of 1 GB Account bandwidth used. 85 MB (0%) of 25 GB Bandwidth is used when digital content is viewed from a link you have posted on another website or in an email (e.g. MySpace, eBay, message boards, etc.). Bandwidth is a measure of the number of bytes passed over time via direct linking. It is calculated by adding up the size of each of your images or videos as they are sent from Photobucket. The 'Monthly Bandwidth' number is the amount of bandwidth you have used within the last month. The month is determined by the day of the month you registered your account. Bandwidth usage is unmetered for Pro accounts, however Photobucket reserves the right to disable direct linking on accounts that are using excessive bandwidth or otherwise abusing the system. The current usage number for Pro accounts is displayed in your Account Options just to give an idea of your current usage level. Free accounts are allowed 25 GB of bandwidth per month. This is hundreds of thousands of images viewed via direct links and resets each month on the day you registered. Quote
Plastic Nev Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Can I just add, there are several on line secure file storage facilities as well as Photobucket, some where you can have either full privacy of content, or also offer limited sharing, say for instance you wish other members of the family to see certain photo's but not the general public. The beauty of these facilities is that you can store any type of file, whereas Photobucket only stores photographs and video. One I use, which is totally free, and has a good reputation, though only my opinion of course, is- Free File Hosting Made Simple - MediaFire Quote Need help with your computer problems?
