Guest Mukesh Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 We have 3 Windows 2003 Servers (File, Citrix and Mail Server (Excahnge 2003) ) and we have Instage EX2 Firewall/VPN Appliance and presently we have T1 line and we are changing to T3 so our IP Addresses will change. Can you please guide me on each server on which option I will have to change the IP Addresses as I am new to Server setup and have never done. Your help is grealty appreicated.
Guest - Michel Posted January 2, 2008 Posted January 2, 2008 RE: IP Address Change Dear Mukesh, This info is not enough for people here to answer your question. I may hope your servers have internal IP addresses and your firewall translates the public address you have (and that will change) to the private ones. In that case you should contact your firewall supplier and not this Windows Server newsgroup... Else, everyone needs a clear description on what IP addresses are where (on all internal and external interfaces that are relevant). Good luck, Michel "Mukesh" wrote: > We have 3 Windows 2003 Servers (File, Citrix and Mail Server (Excahnge 2003) > ) and we have Instage EX2 Firewall/VPN Appliance and presently we have T1 > line and we are changing to T3 so our IP Addresses will change. Guest Mukesh Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 RE: IP Address Change Thanks Michael for oyur prompt response. Greatly appreciated. You are right on our server we have internal ip address (192.168.1.4 and 5 and 6) and on Instagate gate firewall we have public IP addresses which we have received from ISP. So I believe as per your info simply I will have to change the IP addresses on Firewall. Is that correct? Please let me know. Thanks again.
