Hi all,

I am recently training for the comptia exams and i was watching my instuctor videos when he talked about connecting his laptop to a desktop motherboard using rj45 crossover cable to diagnose the desktop mobo problems, does anybody know of any software or info on how to do this?

If somebody could get back to me, would be excellent, thanks Robbie :D

Are you talking about hooking to a desktop unit as a whole or just a bare motherboard?

If just a board then frankly I can't see how you would achieve anything, how would you "see" it?

Surely it would be better to test it using a multi-meter but I'm open to offers on this one.

This instructor video, is it available on line? A look at it might help us understand what is meant.
