Unsure how to find the correct hard-drive

Hi all

 

I currently own a NC6000 HP Compaq laptop, the hard-drive has packed up and i need to purchase a new one, however i am worried about not ordering the correct one.

 

Hard-Drive Spec-

 

HP - Hard drive - 80 GB - internal - 2.5" - ATA-100 - 5400 rpm

Part Number-344407-001

 

I dont mind what manufacturer or the size at the end of the day i just want it to fit an work.

 

Could anyone possibly help me of some good sites to get this or point me in the direction of where i would be able to locate the information so i can look myself!??

 

Would be greatly appreciated if someone could help!!!

Hi Fred, so long as it is 2.5" and ATA, then go for the biggest and fastest you can afford. Have a look here, this should be a direct replacement.
