Running Windows XP Professional SP2

 

Please don't ask me how, but I managed to stupidly hose my system by uninstalling the entire .NET framework.* Now things don't work.* Like downloading using IE 7.* I have no restore points because I had a virus and I deleted the restore points, cleaned out the virus and then turned system restore back on.

 

Please,*how can I restore the .NET environment?* Man what a maroon I am.* THANK YOU!!!

 

I guess what I need to start with is the base .NET Framework.* Where can I go to get this?* The earliest package I see is .NET Framework 1.1 Service Pack 1.* But this fails when I try to install it.
