Guest GW Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 I have two dhcp servers with split scopes. One win 2000 dhcp server working fine. I have installed a second dhcp server on a win2003 box in an AD 2000 forest. The new server is authorised but will not suppy IP addresses. Does anyone have any ideas why no IP addresses are being least. Thanks
Guest Newell White Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 RE: dhcp setup on w2k3 server What happens if you unplug the network cable from the 2000 server. Will the 2k3 serrver now respond to DHCP requests? Just a guess, the older software may be faster at responding - such is progress! -- Regards, Newell White "GW" wrote: > I have two dhcp servers with split scopes. Guest GW Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 RE: dhcp setup on w2k3 server Hi I've not tried unplugging the 2000 server yet, but I have tried disabling the dhcp server and making its scope inactive, non of these worked. Thanks Grahame "Newell White" wrote: > What happens if you unplug the network cable from the 2000 server. > Will the 2k3 serrver now respond to DHCP requests? > > Just a guess, the older software may be faster at responding - such is > progress! > -- > Regards, > Newell White > > > "GW" wrote: > > > I have two dhcp servers with split scopes.
