Guest Jeff Posted January 3, 2008 Posted January 3, 2008 We're looking to implement 2003 R2 FSRM Quotas, and everything's been going well. However, I have been unable to find any documentation on how to (or even if its possible to) delegate rights to manage quotas on the file servers. I work in a large organization with a couple of helpdesks and over 100 distributed file servers. If the client gets a notification that they're exceeding thier quota, I would like our helpdesk to be able to validate a client's quota and possibly extend the quota if they're out of space. However, I don't want to give all my helpdesk people full admin rights on the file servers themselves... I've been unable to find any threads regarding the rights required to run FSRM, but it seems to want you to be a full administrator to the file server. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jeff
Guest Brian Delaney [MSFT] Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 RE: FSRM Quotas - Rights question Hello Jeff, At this time it is not possible to delegate FSRM quotas. They can only be managed by members of the Administrators group.
