Guest Steve Davies Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 Downloaded the Server 2003 trial Enterprise image name X13-05665.img and tried to install in a vmware workstation enviroment. After creating the partition formating drive it then start to copy the file but errors with the following: Setup cannot copy the file: (in order of errors during install) kodak_dc.icm mchgrcoi.dll msyuv.dll pid.dll srgb.icm tsbyuv.dll wowfax.dll wowfaxui.dll mouclass.sys Retry does nothing you have to skip them, this then causes the install once complete to not be able to add hardware like mouse and network card, making the system useless. I have bounced around MS on the phone the final answer I got was that the trial software is not Supported! Any one any ideas, vmware session is clean (new) have tried downloading image again, installing via image and burnt to cd, get the same errors everytime. Faulty image files? or something I'm doing wrong? Thanks Steve
Guest Steve Davies Posted January 4, 2008 Posted January 4, 2008 RE: Server 2003 Trial version missing files during install £!"%!£% been messing with this all day then just had a thought, created a new vmware session this one a full 8 gig unlike the one i have been testing on 7.2gig split into 2 gig partitions and it's installing fine. what the !"$! you wouldn't expect an err like below with the fix that seems to have worked, real strange, still hope this will help someone else.
