Guest daveg Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 RE: Shadow Copy issue I have seen a similar issue where the customer was storing his shadow copies on the same volume as the data, volumes which tend to have a lot of churn run out of "copy free space". This is not related to free disk space on the volume. When VSS determines that a shadow copy needs to be pruned volsnap does not recalculate the copy free space until a *new" snapshot is taken. As a result, in some instances all shadow copies are deleted and a new one created and copy free space recomputed. This is resolved in Vista/2008. In the meantime, ensure that your shadow copies are stored on a different volume than the data you are protecting. -- daveg
Guest Dan Butts Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Re: Shadow Copy issue I have 80 GB of free space on the data drive where shadow copy has no max space restrictions. Dan Butts "Robert L.
