Ace_786 Posted June 20, 2009 Author Posted June 20, 2009 i also went on to my device manager to see if i can fix it from there but it has no ? mark on there dso it's maybe something else which i am still trying to track down. Quote
Jelly Bean Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Hello Ace the first thing to check is in sound properties that nothing has been muted or turned dowm. In device manager right click on the sound card and check it has not been disabled. You can try an update of the hardware driver via download from the manufacturers website.Or right click on it in device manager and choose update driver. In device manager you can try an uninstall the sound card not the driver reboot the machine and let new hardware wizard reinstall it. Guest Wolfeymole Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Memory and hard disk space are two completely separate things Ace. How much physical memory do you have? Quote
Ace_786 Posted June 20, 2009 Author Posted June 20, 2009 physical memory do you mean the ram space if yes then that is 2gb ram i know im sounding dumb again but trust me i am not it's just that its my first use of windows vista i mean they are files installed but each time i look my hard disk space is decreasing! Guest Wolfeymole Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Vista? Your profile says XP.   Quote
Ace_786 Posted June 20, 2009 Author Posted June 20, 2009 done it now , do you think windows updating takes memory away because that could also be the reason that my memory is down the thing is i have not updated anything since yesterday. Quote
Guest Wolfeymole Posted June 20, 2009 Posted June 20, 2009 Ok  Now I don't have to shout at you again do I lol so listen carefully. :D Right click Computer and choose Manage. Under Storage click Disk Management. Do a screenshot of what it says in there by pressing Prt Scr (Print Screen). Nothing will appear to happen, don't worry. Open the program Paint in All Programs, Accessories, Paint. Press the button Ctrl + V at the same time. Save the image as a .jpeg or .png file then use Manage Attachments and upload it for us to look at. Ok Ace.
