If I have a single Windows 2003 native domain with two sites in routed

subnets (call them SiteA and SiteB), and I add an additional Windows

2003 R2 server (SP2 with all patches) as an additional AD server with

integrated DNS in SiteA, is it possible to move this server into SiteB

at a later time and change its IP address to one within SiteB's subnet?

Yes,

- you can change the IP address of a domain controller

- Sites and Services will dynamically pick up the address and put it in the

correct site,

Hi Robert,

You can change the ip of the DC as Anthony said, make sure that all the

rescords in the DNS are updated with the new ip-adress are else u will end up

will replication problems.Once you change the ip adress restart the netlogon

services so that the server can re-register with the DNS.
