Guest Robert Gordon Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 If I have a single Windows 2003 native domain with two sites in routed subnets (call them SiteA and SiteB), and I add an additional Windows 2003 R2 server (SP2 with all patches) as an additional AD server with integrated DNS in SiteA, is it possible to move this server into SiteB at a later time and change its IP address to one within SiteB's subnet?

Re: Can a Windows 2K3 R2 AD server be re-IP addressed and moved between Site subnets? Yes, - you can change the IP address of a domain controller - Sites and Services will dynamically pick up the address and put it in the correct site, Anthony, http://www.airdesk.com "Robert Gordon" <rgordon@nospam.wovensystems.com> wrote in message news:uIaGj71TIHA.4696@TK2MSFTNGP05.phx.gbl... > If I have a single Windows 2003 native domain with two sites in routed > subnets (call them SiteA and SiteB), and I add an additional Windows 2003 > R2 server (SP2 with all patches) as an additional AD server with > integrated DNS in SiteA, is it possible to move this server into SiteB at > a later time and change its IP address to one within SiteB's subnet?
