As a last resort, go to the windows directory \system32\drivers and change the permission on the file usbstor.sys. It will render the usb ports unusable. -- :-)

I found a free utility, can't remember where, that has a gui, you just enter the workstation number and you can block USB Drives and CD Drives without breaking the USB port for mouse/keyboard - it only does Drive blocking. I applied it to about 100 workstations in under 5 minutes, and it's working well. Using the GUI you can unblock a workstation to do maintenance and then block it again in seconds... All done from the server, remotely. -- Leythos - Igitur qui desiderat pacem, praeparet bellum. - Calling an illegal alien an "undocumented worker" is like calling a drug dealer an "unlicensed pharmacist" spam999free@rrohio.com (remove 999 for proper email address)

I said as a last resort, and no, it does break the mouse/kb, it is usbstor.dll for usb storage. -- :-)

Maybe you can provide the name. That helps. I'm looking for the same thing.
