My PC has a 250Gb hard drive, which is partitioned into a 45Gb C: drive for Windows, program files, etc, with the remainder of the drive as a D: drive for my data files.

My problem is that the C: partition is full, and I keep getting low disk space messages, whereas I have plenty of space on the D: partition.

How can I repartition this drive to give me more space on the C: partition?

I am running Windows XP Home Edition, SP3.

Thanks, Peter

Hi Peter and welcome to Free PC help.

My first thought is to have a look at all the programs you have installed on the "C" partition and remove those you don't want or need any more. However this is only good if you do want to get rid of some.

If you need to keep them all, then go for this free bit of software (if you can make space for it LOL)

FREE EASEUS Partition Master Home Edition: Best Partition Manager freeware for Windows 2000/XP/Vista.

It is a partition manager which will help in expanding the "C" drive partition for you.
