Hey guys,

I want to transfer 30GB of data (iTunes if your wondering) and I don't have cables to do it. I am trying to transfer the data via my router (D-Link DIR-825) between my Vista Home Premium laptop and my XP Pro SP3 Desktop (iMac 24" Running Bootcamp). They are both in the same workgroup, and both with different names, the problem is that when I go into Networks on the start menu (on laptop) and click on the desktop computers name (which only sometimes shows up) it comes up with the error 0x80070035, my sister also has a laptop, not in the same workgroup, and when I try to open that up, the same error happens. On the desktop when I try to access the laptop, it doesn't even show up :(

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks :)

Hello supertod and welcome to the forum.

Fiest off all computers must have the same workgroup assigned check all computers are called WORKGROUP.

Also check this link it may help:

Error message when you access the shared resources in a cooperation network over a VPN connection from a Windows Vista or Windows Server 2008-based client computer: "0x80004005" or "0x80070035"

Also is sharing enabled on each computer and network share were appropriate?

You should split that 30 gig up into smaller chunks.
