Hey guys,

I have recently bought a new computer. The monitor is Full HD (1920 X 1080 resolution) but stupidly doesn't have a HDMI slot, just DVI. The PC itself has a HDMI slot. If I was to use a HDMI to DVI cable, would it give me Full HD quality or is it simply just a means of connecting? So, if I plugged the HDMI end into my tower and the DVI end into my monitor, would my monitor be showing the 1080p?

And (as I'm currently using a DVI cable to connect the monitor and the tower), would there be a noticeable difference in picture quality?

It might be a silly question, but I'd like to know before I invest in one (;

Hi Adam,

Can you let us know the details, make and model of the monitor, plus the make and model of the new computer, we may be able to find out for you from that.
