Chriscan Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Hi hope this is posted in the correct Forum. I would like to set my Tv up with my PC so that i can watch"catch up" Tv...ie BBC i player on my TV instead of having to use my Monitor. On the TV there IS a port for an HDMI Cable and an already allocated/tuned Channel for this.Would it JUST be a case of "Plug n Play" or am i hoping for too much? Chris Quote
Plastic Nev Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Hi, To answer that we need to know what is on the computer to send the video and sound out. What sockets do you have? Also do you have a graphics card in or just the internal motherboard based graphics? Nev. Quote Need help with your computer problems? Then why not join Free PC Help. Register here. Tootech Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 I think it will work for video signals, and you will have to take the audio from your soundcard output into your TV or or speaker system seperately. Thats assuming you have a DVI video out. A cable like this should do it. Plexus Gold Plated HDMI To DVI-D Dual Link Cable (Black) 2m - Ebuyer Quote
danzil Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 this will all depend on your graphics card at the end of the day. you can get a vga to scart or a vga to phono in most pc shops if not. thats if your that stuck regards danzil Quote Windows 10 Pro x64Aqua Jeantech Gaming case550watt psu.MSI Gaming Board32GB DDR3 Corsair gaming RamGenuine Intel i7 3.2Ghz4 x 24x dvdrw 150GB SSD750GB Hybrid Drive256 RAID PCI/E SSD for OSand loads of other bits i really dont need :D
