Terminal Server Connection to Laptop Users

We are running a Terminal Server (Server 2003) for our mission critical

application for a temp basis as we are planning to move into a new location.

We installed the License Server and CALs in one server called Server1.All the

in-house m/c which has licenses can run applications from Terminal Server

using rdp.

 

But my problem is if somebody travelling with their Laptops wants to access

these applications won’t be able to connect to the Terminal Server. All our

travellers using RSA SecurID for connecting to our network (VPN).

 

Can anybody give me any light on how I would be able to give access to all

our travel users to connect into Terminal Server.

Why can't they use VPN to get to the network & then run the MS terminal

services client to get to the TS box? I'm not really sure what the problem

is.....

Hi Lanwench,

 

By using VPN(RSA Dongle) the mobile users can get into the network and

connect to the any server/pc's except one i.e: of course Terminal Server.

 

What I am thinking(I am not sure) is that when we are connected using

VPN(RSA SecurID) it checks the access policy and runs NAT.Some weird reason

it is not allowing to connect to the Terminal Server.

 

If you can find any solutions much appreciated.

Hmmm. I'd suggest you post in a more general networking group, as the

problem is clearly with your VPN connection & not with TS itself.
