How to 'Show Contents While Dragging'

I am very inexperienced in W2003 and TS.

I want the user to see the contents of the window they are dragging. (it is

just over our local LAN). The Remote Desktop Connection Experience tab (at

the user end) has "show contents..." ticked but only an outline appears.

There must be an option on the Server that I need to set.

Hi,

This option has to be enabled on the server side also.

On the server, goto Start -> Control Panel -> Display

Go to the "Appearance" tab

Select "Effects"

Enable the option to "Show window contents while dragging"

Thanks,

Re: How to 'Show Contents While Dragging'

"Show window contents while dragging" is ticked in the Administrator session.

Do you mean this needs to be done for each user within their TS session.

If so cannot it be done for ALL users somewhere.

Re: How to 'Show Contents While Dragging'

I think there would be a group policy to set this option for all users.

Please try posting this query on "microsoft.public.windows.group_policy".
