help4me Posted December 13, 2007 Posted December 13, 2007 It's not really a platform per se... but I really enjoy the online room escape games such as the "Submachine" series and "Crimson room" and other similar point and click games like "Hazul." Guest Wolfeymole Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 I used to love playing Knight Lore on the ZX Spectrum 20 or more years ago. Quote
Seth Posted December 18, 2007 Posted December 18, 2007 Atari 2600, but mostly because of nostalgia. I also miss the variety of games on the Commodore 64. I don't like complicated games, so the console epitome for me was the original Nintendo. Quote Need help with your computer problems? Then why not join Free PC Help. JEBWrench Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Bump for great justice. Favourite game: Myst (the entire series, even Exile. :p) Favourite console: PC if that counts, but if not, the SNES always did it best in my book. Worst game I ever played (because that's a fun discussion too): Probably an NES game called Sqoon. Yes, I spelled that right. It was a side scrolling 'smup set underwater, I think. Worst console ever used: I still don't like the XBox. And I doubt anything's going to make me change my mind about that giant block. :P Quote Need help with your computer problems? Guest Wolfeymole Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 This cost me £100 back in 1977. Quote
Seth Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 This cost me £100 back in 1977. I begged, borrowed, and probably stole for the ATARI 2600..but I got it. Best memory: I could program in Basic back then. The local department store had an Atari 2600 on display, I programmed it to display "Press any key to continue". At which point the customer would press a key to result in the most god awful high pitched sound that could be heard to the other end of the store. I would watch from a distance and keel over with laughter. Ah yes, good times. Quote Need help with your computer problems? Then why not join Free PC Help. JEBWrench Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Could've been worse. You could've bought one of these monstrosities.
