Network Scan for softwares

Good day All,

 

I have large network I would like to scan to find out the operating system

softwares on some of them and also the microsoft softwares installed on them.

On the network most users are on the domain and some are not. Also some

computers have their windows firewall turned on. I do not have MOMS or SMS

on my network.

 

We are basically trying to scan to make sure we are complaint in all ways.

Is there a tool that can do this even if it's a vbscript that I might need to

modify? Also what limitations would I have considering that not all the

computers are on the domain and the firewall issue on some?
