Remote Desktop 6.0, changing its login behaviour

Is it possible at all to prevent Remote Desktop 6.0 from asking for a

username and password before it has actualy connected to the remote server

?.

I've searched Google and can't find an answer so I thought I'd ask here.

I find this new 'feature' incredibly frustrating. Also on the 'General' tab

I no longer have the option to specify a username and password as the boxes

no longer exist, is this correct for the new Remote Desktop 6.0 client or is

something wrong with my installation of it ?.

Thanks.

This is the main change in RDP6 so if you don't want it, use an earlier

version.

Re: Remote Desktop 6.0, changing its login behaviour

You could open the RDP file using notepad and add

"EnableCredSSPSupport:i:0"

to the end of it. That works for me, although it doesn't automatically

insert the username anymore.

Re: Remote Desktop 6.0, changing its login behaviour

Thanks Eric, that's exactly what I need (considering that you can't change

the default behaviour of the client).

And sorry for the delay in replying.
