Guest Brad Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Hi, My computer has Windows 98se. I have a folder with several .FLV files I have collected from YouTube. I am frustrated trying to find a GOOD YouTube FLV file(s) converter to convert those .FLV files to either AVI or MPG format so I can play them on my older Windows 95 computers. I can view these .FLV files using a FLV player just fine on my Windows 98 computer, but I gave up trying to find a FLV player that works in Windows 95. If you have Windows 98 and used a FLV converter several times without any problems, please tell me the name and where you downloaded it. Thanks in advance, Brad Before you type your password, credit card number, etc., be sure there is no active keystroke logger (spyware) in your PC.

Google and bring a box of patience with you. I DID bookmark a few: http://www.neoretix.com/ http://www.bytessence.com/bamvc.html http://ffmpeg.mplayerhq.hu/download.html http://arrozcru.no-ip.org/ffmpeg_builds/ All untested by me, I am not into video that much. Personally, I don't see much point in converting. Most FLV's are such awful quality you will only get a bigger file which will look just as crappy. I haven't tried it (or MAY have but just don't remember) but I am pretty sure Riva FLV player will work on 95. -- Better a cruel truth than a comfortable delusion. Edward Abbey (1927 - 1989)

Look for a program called Save2PC. It is normally listed here http://www.majorgeeks.com/ whenever there is an update or you could google it.
