Guest Luka Obersnu Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 Hi all, I just found interesting discovery while searching thru disk for files older than, for example 1.1.2007 (to free up some disk space on folders with users documents). Some of the files have date created newer than date modified. I was curious and I have also checked the files in c:\Windows directory and got the same results. I found out that this can happen on any type of file, for example doc, cab, jpeg, … We have Windows 2003 SBS R2 SP2 running on HP Proliant ML 350 G4 hardware. Is this some kind of bug, because we didn’t change date and time on our windows server since we installed it? Does someone have an explanation? Luka

The file in the target folder will now show a "created" day of "today", which is correct, and a "modified" date that equals the date when the source file was last modified. No bug here!
