Problems viewing event viewer on remote PC

I am trying to view event logs on a remote PC on our network. This

problem is isolated to a single PC. I am able to view other computer

management tabs such as device manager, services, etc. It is like I

don't have the permissions to view the event log. I was able to do

this in the past.

This is the message that I get when I try to view the event log of the

remote PC. "Unable to connect to the computer "IP address". The

error was: The network path was not found"

Any ideas?

Are you able to view the event logs on the physical node? In other words

confirm that the eventlog databases are not corrupt. Second option I can

think of would be a GP locking you out on the node you are trying to read.

I can view the event viewer from the physical PC. I don't think this

is a GP issue, but I will do some checking.

Do the event logs on the offending node say anything, knowing that you can

read the logs on the console?
