My CD-ROM drive just won't read any disks anymore..and i don't know why.

Here's a picture: http://img111.imageshack.us/img111/2115/cddrivers.jpg

I uninstalled HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T20N ATA Device...cause i thought i might be able to reinstall it.. but seems like that was a very bad move since I can't find a download for it.

*Im using Vista

*can't use my Driver & utility disk since my CD driver won't read/

*there are no errors, after i insert the disk, i can hear it running but nothing happens on screen.

Hi Snake, it now looks like the drive itself may be duff and will need replacing!

Have you looked in the BIOS to see if it is recognised there?

Nev.
