Guest Computerguy Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 We have a problem in our school district where users forget to logoff. Does anyone know of a reputable software that can logoff users at a certain time ? We are actually trying to have computers shutdown in order to save the district some money. Thanks.

There's a logoff screensaver - or you can use shutdown.exe & a scheduled task. However, any unsaved items will be lost. I'd suggest that you instead try changing the workstation power schemes to go into standby after X hours of idle time -

We tried the shutdown.exe, but there is a command line switch needed and we are not sure how to distribute it by group policy.
