If I Lose Connection I am automatically logged off and programs lo

I hope someone can help me with this as I have scoured the newsgroups and the

web. Its probably a setting somewhere but I just don't know where to look.

Sometimes I connect to the office to work from home with RDP to our terminal

server. Since it is an internet connection I sometimes lose this connection

and have to login agian. When I do I find the all the programs and documents

I had open are gone and I was logged off.

It seems like in this case it would disconnect me but that doesn't seem to

be happening. I would very much prefer a disconnect so I can just login to my

session again. This behavior has really messed me up a couple times now so I

really need to change it so in the event I or someone else loses connection

to the terminal server the session is disconnected and not logged off so the

user can log back in and have all their programs and documents open.

Thanks in advance for any help.

What is the Windows version of Terminal Services are you running?

You can set this setting at Terminal Services Configuration (tscc.msc in

Win2k3 and earlier, TSConfig.msc in Win2k8)->RDP-Tcp->Sessions tab->Override

setting when session limit is reached or connection is broken. set the

radio button "Disconnect from session".

Thanks

Re: If I Lose Connection I am automatically logged off and program

This looks like the right place but the checkbox and radio buttons are all

greyed out. Any idea how to make these active so I can choose this?

Thank you!

Re: If I Lose Connection I am automatically logged off and program

It turns out it was configured in group policy so I made the change there.

Thanks for your help!
