Help needed - page will not display..

Hi

Firstly hello to all.

 

I have been using a forum for months - then all of a sudden IE7 decides that it can no longer display the page. At first i thought the forum must be down - but I have spoken to others who are having no trouble displaying the site.

 

Windows XP SP 2 - Internet Explorer 7

 

Sorry I hope this is the info you require - any help appreciated - thanks in advance.

you could try running crap cleaner..this will remove cookies and temp files....aslo try adding the web page to your trusted sites list...get crap cleaner from http://www.ccleaner.com...

Thanks for the suggestion - I have ran ccleaner and put it in trusted sites - I am afraid I am still having no joy connecting to this website - I just don't understand - working fine one minute then just stops letting me look at it :/

what is the website you can not get on.........need to know that,,is it a secure web site..

your hijack this log isnt bad at all i dont think....i dont usually have a look at these logs....the only thing in there is a programme called registry booster.....be carefull with any registry tinkering software

The website is theugcc.com and I can access it through a proxy but not ordinarily - its not a secure website - I have been in touch with the admin there and they cannot see a problem their end - so I haven't got a clue....I think thats CCleaner isn't it? I don't remember downloading anything else about registries.

have you reset internet explorer settings to default..just in case in is a dodgy cookie or cetificate of some sort..

tools>internet options>advanced

give that a try..

thanks for the mention about the flooding,,yes it is very bad but getting better.i live in tewkesbury which has been the worst hit..my work is under water. yeh really really sucks...no water from the taps.electric steady for now...and water supplys are almost running out too.

browse to c:\program files and see if it is in there,,,if so delete the folder it is in......if you can not delete it due to "access denied" then boot to safe mode and try again.
