Guest Mike D Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 Hi, I recently demoted a Windows 2003 file server from a domain controller to a domain member server. (I have two other DCs.) Previously, when this file server was a domain controller, non-domain computers could authenticate to a shared folder using simply their domain user name and password. Now that it's been demoted, it will no longer recognize a user unless they add the domain name as a prefix. Why would this be, and is there any way to change its behavior back to the way it was? (other than reverting it back to a DC) Thanks, Mike
